What to do if you work in IT in Uzbekistan?
Personal advice for young people:
- Study at university; working & studying in Europe isn't easy.
- Grow fast into a Senior engineer role; monthly you can earn $4,000–$5,000 (even more), yearly it is $60,000. Work at least 3 years in Uzbekistan.
- Move abroad only for growth, experience, not for saving money. And only if you get good offer (from MAANG, and good paying companies).
There might be other amazing companies or startups, and their offer may even be higher compared to MAANG. You may work on cool things. Yes. However, this is not the case for the majority of cases. You should make a tradeoff between money, growth, work-life balance, and possibly other criteria.
If you can't find a job in Uzbekistan, it will be difficult to find one abroad either. Therefore, be a profession in Uzbekistan first, then move.
